A text that failed
If a message does not go through, it shows in the chat with a red warning and the words Not delivered. Click Retry next to it to try again.Things that stop texting altogether
Sometimes the message box itself is switched off before you have even typed. Dialbird shows a banner at the top telling you why.You need to register to text US numbers
American phone companies will not accept business texts from a number that has not been registered. Until you have done it, you will see:US carriers require A2P 10DLC registration before you can send messages to US phone numbers.Click Register Now, which takes you to the Trust Center. See Carrier registration. This only affects texting US numbers. If you are only texting UK customers, it does not apply. If your account is registered as a sole proprietor, there is an extra limit: only one number can carry your A2P messaging. If you try to use a second, Dialbird tells you the sole-proprietor allowance is already taken by another number.
Your number needs its identity checks
Some numbers need identity checks (called KYC) before they can call or text. You will see:Complete KYC verification to keep calling and messaging on this number. It takes less than 5 minutes.Click Complete KYC and follow it through.
You’ve hit the fair usage level
Every workspace has a fair usage level for texting. If you go over it, texting is switched off for a while and the message box is blocked. Open the notice and click Contact support, and we will look at it.Other reasons a text won’t send
If a single message will not send, the reason is usually one of these:Dialbird doesn’t show you “delivered” or “read” ticks on a text. The only thing it tells you is when a message fails. No red warning means it went out fine.
