A name and a phone number cover the basics, but most customers come with a few more details worth saving: a second number, an email, a job address. Properties let you keep all of that on the contact, so it’s there the next time you need it.
Adding a property
Open a contact and click Add property at the bottom of their details. You’re asked to pick a type first, then enter the value. You can add:
- Phone Number (another one, with a country flag to pick the code)
- Email
- Company
- Address
- URL (a website)
Pick the type, fill in the value, and click Add Property. It appears in their details straight away.
Choosing Address opens a fuller form so you can capture the whole thing: Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, County / State, Postal / Zip Code, and Country. Fill in as much or as little as you like. On the contact’s details, the location shows as city and country, and you can expand it with the arrow to see every line.
These are the property types Dialbird gives you, so you can’t invent your own named field. Company, Address, and URL each appear once, so once you’ve added one it drops out of the list. If you need to note something that doesn’t fit any of these, use the Notes section instead. See Contact notes.
Changing a property
To update a value later, double-click it on the contact’s details and type. It saves as soon as you click away. Last modified on July 15, 2026
