Every conversation is either Open or Closed, and new ones start Open. Think of Closed as “dealt with”: the job’s booked, the question’s answered, you’re done. It’s a simple way to clear finished chats out of the way while keeping them around in case you need them again.

Closing one

To mark a conversation done, right-click it, or use the menu at the top of the chat, and choose Mark as closed. A small grey tick appears next to its name in the list. To close a batch at once, select several conversations and choose Close conversations from the bottom bar. See Conversations.

Reopening one

Open the same menu and it now says Reopen conversation, which brings the chat back to Open. (For a batch, the bottom bar offers Open conversations.) If a closed conversation gets a new message, you’ll see it come back as unread, so a reply never slips past you.

Seeing only open or only closed

Use the funnel at the top of your chat list to show just Open or just Closed conversations. See Filters.
