When a text won’t send, it’s usually down to one of a handful of reasons: registration, a blocked contact, an unsupported country, or a message that failed on the way. Here’s the quick version, with the full guide (covering registration, identity checks, and fair usage) over on When texts won’t send. Run through these in order:
  • Texting a US number? You need to register first. Carriers require every number to be registered before it can text US and Canadian phones. See Carrier registration.
  • Blocked contact? If you’ve blocked them, your texts won’t go through. Unblock them from the menu in the chat, or from Settings, then Blocklist. See Blocklist.
  • Wrong country? Dialbird only texts certain countries. See Texting other countries.
  • A message shows “Not delivered”? Something went wrong in transit. Click Retry next to the message to send it again.
If you’ve worked through all four and a text still won’t go, get in touch with the number you were texting and what the message showed, and we’ll take a look.
