Blocking a number stops it reaching you completely. A blocked caller can’t ring or text any of your numbers, so a persistent nuisance is dealt with in one go. Go to Settings, then Blocklist, to manage the list. The subtitle sums it up: blocked numbers can’t call or message any of your phone numbers.

Blocking a number

  1. Click Block number.
  2. Type the number in the box, choosing the right country from the flag. Dialbird starts on your workspace’s country, so most of the time you can just type the number.
  3. Click Block number to confirm.
That’s it. They can no longer reach you. Dialbird checks the number is valid before it lets you block it, so you can’t block a typo by mistake.
Blocking works across your whole workspace, not just the number you’re looking at. A blocked number can’t get through to any of your inboxes, and nobody on your team will hear from them either.

Unblocking

Find the number in the list (use the search box if it’s a long one) and click Unblock next to it. They can reach you again straight away.

Seeing who’s blocked

Everyone you’ve blocked is listed on this page, so you can scan the lot at a glance. If it’s empty, you’ll see No blocked numbers, which is exactly what you want to see most of the time.
