Only the workspace Owner and Admins can open Members and send invites. Members don’t see this tab at all.
Inviting someone
The quickest way is the Quick invite box at the top: type their email address and click Invite. That drops you straight into the invite steps with the email already filled in. You’ll then be asked two things:- Their email address and role, either Member or Admin (see below). Click Next.
- Which phone numbers they can use. Tick the ones they need. You can tick Select all to give them everything, or tick none at all and sort it out later.
Choosing a role
There are three roles, from the least access to the most:
When you invite someone you can only pick Member or Admin. The Owner role is handled separately.
A few rules worth knowing:
- Only the Owner can make someone else an Owner.
- An Admin can’t change another Admin, or the Owner.
- You can’t change your own role.
- You can’t change someone’s role while their invite is still pending, so wait until they’ve accepted.
Suspending someone
If someone’s off for a while, use ⋮ then Suspend. They stay in the list marked Suspended and lose access in the meantime, and you can Reactivate them from the same menu whenever they’re back. Nothing of theirs is deleted, so suspending is the safe choice when someone’s only away temporarily.Removing someone
Click ⋮ then Remove from workspace. Dialbird then asks what to do with the contacts and lists they own. You must choose one:- Transfer them to another person, then pick who from the dropdown. Only active team members show up as options.
- Delete contacts and lists.
