# Join a workspace

> Accept an email invite to join your team's Dialbird and start sharing numbers.

If someone at your company already uses Dialbird, they can invite you to join their workspace. You don't create a separate account or buy your own number. You join theirs, share the same numbers, and calls and texts come to whoever is free.

A workspace is simply your team's shared Dialbird: the numbers, the inboxes, and everyone who works them.

## Getting invited

Someone with the right access invites you **by email**. As they set up the invite, they choose two things:

* **Your role**, which decides what you can do:
  * **Member:** can view and send messages.
  * **Admin:** can manage settings and members as well.
* **Which numbers you get access to.** They can hand you one inbox, a few, or all of them. You'll only see and work the numbers they share with you.

You don't need to sort any of this out yourself. It's chosen for you as the invite is sent.

## Joining

1. **Open the invite** that lands in your email.
2. **Follow the link** to set up your account and join the workspace.

Once you're in, the numbers you were given access to appear in your sidebar under **Inboxes**, and you can start taking calls and texts straight away.

<Note>
  If you already have an account under the same email, you can't be invited into a second workspace with it. Ask your admin to invite an email you're not already using.
</Note>

## After you join

* **Your numbers** are the inboxes shared with you. If one you expected is missing, ask an admin to add it.
* **Need more access?** Only an admin can change your role or share more numbers with you.
* **Install the apps** so calls and texts reach you on the road too. See [Install the apps](/getting-started/install-apps).

<Note>
  If you're the one doing the inviting, that's done under **Settings**, then **Members**. See [Members](/admin/members).
</Note>
