# Group calls

> Get the caller and your colleague talking together on the same call.

A group call is three people on the same line at once: you, your caller, and a colleague. In Dialbird you create one by merging, at the end of a warm transfer.

## Making a group call

1. Start a [warm transfer](/calling/conference-calling/warm-transfer): open **⋯**, choose **Merge call**, pick a teammate, and press **Start consult**.
2. Talk to your colleague while the caller waits on hold.
3. When you are ready, press **Merge calls**.

All three of you are now connected and can hear each other.

## Leaving the call

When you want to drop out, just hang up. The other two stay connected and carry on without you.

<Note>
  Merging is the way to build a group call. There is no separate button for dialling several people into a call from scratch.
