# Members

> Invite your team, choose what they can do, suspend or remove them, and control who reaches your numbers.

Members is where you build your team inside Dialbird: invite people, set what each one can do, and tidy up when someone moves on. It's also the place to check who has access to your numbers.

Go to **Settings**, then **Members**, to see everyone in your workspace. The page shows a running count of how many members you have, and the search and filter tools to find any one of them.

<Note>
  Only the workspace **Owner** and **Admins** can open Members and send invites. Members don't see this tab at all.
</Note>

## Inviting someone

The quickest way is the **Quick invite** box at the top: type their email address and click **Invite**. That drops you straight into the invite steps with the email already filled in.

You'll then be asked two things:

1. **Their email address and role**, either Member or Admin (see below). Click **Next**.
2. **Which phone numbers they can use.** Tick the ones they need. You can tick **Select all** to give them everything, or tick none at all and sort it out later.

Click **Send Invite** and they'll get an email.

Until they accept, they show in the list as **invite pending**, and pending people sit at the bottom of the list so your active team stays up top. If you'd rather send the invite yourself, click **Copy invite link** on their row to grab the link, or use the **⋮** menu to **Cancel invitation**.

## Choosing a role

There are three roles, from the least access to the most:

| Role | What they can do |
| ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Member** | Can view and send messages |
| **Admin** | Can manage settings and members |
| **Owner** | Everything. There's one owner, and they can't be removed or suspended. |

When you invite someone you can only pick **Member** or **Admin**. The Owner role is handled separately.

A few rules worth knowing:

* Only the **Owner** can make someone else an Owner.
* An **Admin** can't change another Admin, or the Owner.
* You can't change your own role.
* You can't change someone's role while their invite is still pending, so wait until they've accepted.

To change someone's role, click the **⋮** on their row and pick the new one.

## Suspending someone

If someone's off for a while, use **⋮** then **Suspend**. They stay in the list marked *Suspended* and lose access in the meantime, and you can **Reactivate** them from the same menu whenever they're back. Nothing of theirs is deleted, so suspending is the safe choice when someone's only away temporarily.

## Removing someone

Click **⋮** then **Remove from workspace**.

Dialbird then asks what to do with the contacts and lists they own. You must choose one:

* **Transfer them to another person**, then pick who from the dropdown. Only active team members show up as options.
* **Delete contacts and lists.**

To confirm, type **their email address** into the box exactly as shown. That extra step is deliberate, because removing someone can't be undone.

<Warning>
  Removing someone is permanent. They lose access to your workspace, and their contacts and lists are either handed over or deleted. There's no undo.
</Warning>

## Finding people

Use the search box to look someone up by name or email. Or use the filter to show only **Owners**, **Admins**, **Members**, or people whose **invite is pending**.
